Be careful when handling raw chicken so it does not contact other food. Wash the cutting board, utensils and your hands very well with hot soapy water after handling the chicken.

If your recipe requires marinating, do it in the fridge as chicken is very sensitive to heat, which can increase the chances of spoilage. When defrosting a frozen chicken, do it in the fridge not at room temperature.
